Enrichment Opportunities

A variety of add-on extracurricular opportunities are offered based on age and availability. Some, such as STEM club, may be offered as one-time clinics held once per quarter, while others meet on a weekly basis.

Examples of our extracurricular programming include:

  • Line dancing
  • Movement
  • Yoga
  • Piano lessons
  • Chess club
  • Animal club
  • Other interest-based activities

Some opportunities emphasize physical activity, while others allow students to explore individual interests in a supervised, engaging after-school setting.

What to Look for in an After-School Program

Finding the right after-school program means looking beyond convenience. A few key qualities tend to make the biggest difference.

  • Consistency with the school environment: A program within the same K through 12 school your child already attends removes an unnecessary transition and keeps students in a familiar setting.
  • Structure balanced with downtime: Homework time, outdoor play, and open-ended activities each serve a purpose. A well-designed program makes room for all three.
  • Trusted supervision: Staff screening, clear pickup procedures, and defined responsibilities reflect how seriously a program takes student safety.
  • A fit with your family’s values: Families who choose a nonsectarian school deserve an after-school experience that reflects those same standards.

Saint James WonderWorks and 9th Period are built with all of this in mind.
