We are so grateful for the military families who are a part of the Saint James community! Last Friday, we held our annual military appreciation tailgate and football pre-game program as small thank you to those who serve. Military families were recognized on the field and participated in the football spirit line. Additionally, Maj. Gen. Parker Wright (dad of senior football player Will) and Lt. Col. Billy Mendel (dad of senior volleyball player Alex) served as honorary captains for the game. Detachment 019 from Alabama State University, presented the colors for "God Bless America," sung by STJ 8th grade student Aditi Shyam, and the National Anthem. It was a wonderful night that ended in a big Trojan victory over Handley.

We value and thank our veterans and active duty service men and women who serve others each day. Thank you for your service! #wearesaintjamesschool

Rock on, Saint James! Dr. Sallye York's History of

Rock on, Saint James! Dr. Sallye York's History of Rock and Roll class has been studying music from the early 1950’s, the era right before the arrival of Rock and Roll. To celebrate this music and history, the class visited the Hank Williams Museum in downtown Montgomery as well as Hank’s gravesite in Oakwood Cemetery. Students ended their tour with lunch at Hank’s favorite local restaurant, Chris’s Hot Dogs. Hank Williams "There’s soda pop and the dancin’s free!" #wearesaintjamesschool

This morning, the class of 2025 met their Kindergarten buddies for the first time! Our cherished Kindergarten/Senior Buddy Program helps build our school community and cultivates special relationships. The buddies participate in fun activities both on and off campus through the year. This 25+ year tradition is a favorite on campus! #wearesaintjamesschool

We were very demure, very mindful at the annual K5 tea party. 🫖 Seated at a decorated table with place settings, our guests enjoyed fancy bites and practiced their table etiquette by passing items, sharing, and using their nicest manners. Kindergarten students have been learning about etiquette and will continue to apply these practices throughout the year. As Saint James builds communities of character focusing on the education of the whole child, we start these practices early. A strong foundation of respect, courtesy, and generosity begins with our tiniest Trojans. #WeAreSaintJamesSchool

Yesterday, Saint James welcomed Hon. Todd Strange

Yesterday, Saint James welcomed Hon. Todd Strange to campus as our Values Assembly guest speaker. In addition to serving as Montgomery's 56th mayor, Mr. Strange has been recognized for his volunteerism and impact on the business community. Saint James holds assemblies each quarter to reinforce our core values of character, commitment, courage, and community. Mr. Strange charged our middle and high school students to have their "video match their audio." Our words matter, but our actions make the biggest impact. Thank you, Mayor Strange, for visiting Saint James and inspiring our students to live our our values. #wearesaintjamesschool
