Building on our Strong Foundation
In 2030, Saint James School will celebrate its 75th anniversary of preparing students for lives of responsibility, service, and achievement. With more than 3,200 alumni and many more families who are part of our Trojan community, we have never been in a better position to build on our strong foundation and mission and create a lasting legacy for the next generation of Trojans.
Developed as part of our strategic plan, Aim High for 75 will enable us to reach even higher to develop the whole child as the top college preparatory school in the River Region. Our goal is simple: strengthen the long-term financial position of Saint James School for the next 75 years by tripling the overall value of our endowment fund. Accomplishing this bold goal will enable us to focus on three key areas that are the foundation for everything we do.
Invest in campus and facility upgrades
In 2002, Saint James School completed a 20-year transition to our beautiful, collegiate-style 68-acre campus on Vaughn Road. While we are lucky to have such a wonderful campus to serve all of our students from Pre-K2 through 12th grade, a campus of this size and age requires an increasing amount of updates and enhancements. With a few exceptions, only minor updates and enhancements have been made during the last 25+ years. One of the most significant benefits of the Aim High for 75 campaign is raising the money needed to more thoroughly and proactively invest in campus improvements before they are needed, thus enhancing our beautiful campus for current and future students.
Enhance the overall student experience
Our students are at the center of everything we do. Each day, we focus on building the heart of our students by delivering the most comprehensive whole child education in the area. Through Aim High for 75, we seek to better serve our students and our community by enhancing student programs and expanding student opportunities. In addition, we feel called to strengthen our tuition assistance program so that we can help talented and bright students within our local communities who are a great fit for our school, yet need a helping hand to pursue a Saint James education.
Recruit, train, and retain highly qualified purpose-driven faculty and staff
Our school is our faculty! Since 1955, we have aimed to hire the best and brightest faculty and staff who are motivated by the Saint James School mission and committed to daily building up our students. With interest in teaching near a 50-year low, finding and retaining highly qualified faculty who also live out our mission and core values is harder than ever. The growth of our endowment fund through Aim High for 75 will enable us to better focus on recruiting, training, and retaining the most talented and nurturing staff possible, which will positively impact how we serve our students and deliver on our mission each day.
